Think Marry Me Chicken is amazing but maybe a little too beefed up on the calories? Or maybe the time you need to make it just isn’t in your favor? Give our lightened up Instant Pot Marry Me Chicken (or we like to call it “Third Date Chicken” since it’s a bit less serious) a try and let us know what you think!Continue reading “Marry Me Chicken (Instant Pot)”
We’ve been inspired.
As a family.

Where are my Disney/Pixar friends?! (for this one reference…)
If you have been living under a rock and haven’t seen Ratatouille, just go ahead and do yourself a favor and get this movie…like now. It’s adorable and I love the fun they have with cooking and food!! (The dreamy French overtones don’t hurt either)
The point of this post is NOT to pitch this cute movie but I’m really relating to this scene in the movie right now…
You know when the mean food critic, Anton Ego, eats a bite and is instantly transported to another time and memory? This scene PERFECTLY depicts the feelings I had while creating (and eating) this scrumptious recipe.

After the Wildflower Festival, Neil and I were both exhausted even though we were only out in the sun for a few hours.
We were ready to do a straight shot home and get Kaya in her bed for her nap. About halfway home (and a quarter mile past the last exit for food…) we realized we didn’t know what the heck we were going to make for dinner that night and didn’t think we had anything at home, at least off the top of our head.
Neil got to come home again this weekend!! It was past eight o’clock and Kaya was already asleep. I was up doing the dishes as is my routine every night after she goes to bed. I was a bit antsy this time because I knew her Daddy would be coming through that door any minute…
I swear I looked at that door a thousand times in three minutes.
