Top 30 Books to read in 2021

What to read in 2021

While the world seemed to and still is trying to implode around us in 2020, we keep the peace and positivity rolling hard at our house. 2020 was a journey of revelations in our house. My husband and I have learned so many lessons and have gained a greater appreciation for each other, our family and clarity surrounding our life goals (both separately and together as a family). What I learned was to make time for myself and to encourage my family members to do the same. I found myself doing a lot of soul-searching and negativity clearing this year while also realizing my truest gifts and refocusing my energy on how to serve and entertain my family and the community. One of the hobbies we both rediscovered this year was to read books every day, on our level, not just to our daughter.

Covid19 Travel with AirBNB To KOA La Junta, Colorado

A collective review by Neil and Melissa Rentfro

After a long dusty trail through Oklahoma into Wichita, Kansas and over, we steered into the KOA Campgrounds and Cabins in La Junta, Colorado that we booked through AirBnB. Road-weary and slightly dejected from far too many disappointments at seemingly all shut down breweries to stop at along the way, the sole reason for travelling that particularly lonesome stretch of highway during the COVID19 Pandemic, we idle in front of the La Junta KOA office as the sun sets over Otero County.

Chewy.com | REVIEWING THE BEST Pet Product Delivery

All opinions about Chewy.com are my own. Chewy.com has not compensated me or provided complimentary product at the date of this review. Links may contain affiliate content.

I won’t lie, it took a minute to really grab onto the Chewy.com revolution. I know, it makes slim to no sense, considering we were quick to jump on the grocery delivery trend earlier this year (check out our Imperfect Foods review here). But now, we’ve decided to cross over into Pet Product delivery instead of shopping at multiple stores like Costco for their foo and PetCo or PetSmart for other various items. Why not try out the delivery service that literally has it all?

Best Amazon Buys For Plus Size Mom to Be

We are due with baby Rentfro #2 in January 2021 and we could not be more thrilled! However, I am a plus size mom to be and that comes with a certain set of high risks when pregnant. I knew going into this pregnancy that I would be considered high risk because of my weight, but “high risk” doesn’t mean DEATH. It just means that we need to be extra careful and mindful of how we treat our bodies over the next 9 months. Or in my case, now two months.

Morning Routine for A Preschooler

Mornings are hit or miss at our house. Either our daughter wakes up and is happy and ready to tackle the day or she wakes up and NOTHING goes right and everyone is against her. There’s typically not a middle ground here. Establishing a morning routine from birth was imperative for our sanity as new parents and we’ve adapted that routine as she grows and with our family’s needs.

Lice, What’s the Truth?

There is NOTHING WORSE than having an itchy scalp. (ok, I can think of a few worse things, but it’s definitely “up there”) I’m not talking about dry scalp or dandruff or build up that itches, but the feeling that you’re dealing with something more…sinister. More…taboo. Yup, I’m talking lice here. The creepy crawly bugs and their eggs (nits) that mysteriously make their way onto yours or your child’s head. Something that blows my mind and something that ALL lice experts agree on is that you can only get them from SOMEBODY. My question is, okaaaay…but how did that first person get it?!

Marry Me Chicken (Instant Pot)

Think Marry Me Chicken is amazing but maybe a little too beefed up on the calories? Or maybe the time you need to make it just isn’t in your favor? Give our lightened up Instant Pot Marry Me Chicken (or we like to call it “Third Date Chicken” since it’s a bit less serious) a try and let us know what you think!
