We are due with baby Rentfro #2 in January 2021 and we could not be more thrilled! However, I am a plus size mom to be and that comes with a certain set of high risks when pregnant. I knew going into this pregnancy that I would be considered high risk because of my weight, but “high risk” doesn’t mean DEATH. It just means that we need to be extra careful and mindful of how we treat our bodies over the next 9 months. Or in my case, now two months.

Mornings are hit or miss at our house. Either our daughter wakes up and is happy and ready to tackle the day or she wakes up and NOTHING goes right and everyone is against her. There’s typically not a middle ground here. Establishing a morning routine from birth was imperative for our sanity as new parents and we’ve adapted that routine as she grows and with our family’s needs.

Baby secrets…I HATE keeping them. I hated keeping them for our first baby and the second one is even harder. I’m don’t know if it’s because we’re in the midst of a global pandemic and everything is SO different this time around or because I don’t have my mom to spill the news to this time or what, but it was HARD to keep this secret for the “requisite” 13 weeks. Much harder to go almost 20 weeks with zipped lips! But ya’ll, I am CRAVING that human connection. Did you guys know that husbands can’t go into your appointments with you unless you luck out and your OBGYN office allows them in for the sonogram? Totally get it, I do…but it’s hard. On both of us.

From our last post, you’ll know that our family has been going through the ringer.
A week after I got home from Houston, we made the rather Abrupt decision that Neil would be “moving” to the Dallas area for an amazing job opportunity. while Kaya and I stayed behind with the land and the animals.
